The growing trend in sports throughout all levels is naming the next head coach before the current coach is finished. Propecia buy One of the most recent examples came at Texas, where the team announced that assistant Will Muschamp will follow coach Mack Brown when Brown leaves the program.

Columbus -- By the time Zack Novak's right elbow connected with P.J. Hill's face with 1:27 to play Wednesday night, Ohio State's 72-54 victory over Michigan was well in hand.
When it comes to the Buckeyes and Wolverines, there's always room for some messages to be sent, and on their way to dropping their second game to Ohio State in 11 days, the Wolverines, maybe clumsily, were trying to deliver one.

COLUMBUS -- Ohio State's quarterback count stands at two.
Wednesday afternoon, a two-star Ohio high school recruit told OSU coach Jim Tressel thanks, but no thanks, in part because the Buckeyes were late to the party.
Though OSU coaches had been telling Kettering Alter quarterback Austin Boucher that he was their backup plan if five-star quarterback recruit Tajh Boyd turned them down, their official scholarship offer Tuesday came after Boucher had given an oral commitment to Miami (Ohio).

There are some in Buckeye Nation who are questioning Thad Matta’s coaching acumen. More specifically, arm-chair Buckeye fans (with infinitely better coaching resumes) are debating his use of the zone defense and are calling on him to “press” the issue, so to speak. Those same fans have to realize that Coach Matta has been hamstrung with regards to the talent on hand necessary to man-up superior athletes, such as the buzz-saw they ran up against Michigan ... Although there are always people on the other end of the situation and quarterback prospect Tajh Boyd seems to be one of them.
It is possible the emergence of ... Read More

This should have been an article about how our young hockey team was vastly improved from its youthful struggles a year ago. While the team is vastly improved, its most recent series against the conference's worst team stains what was a glorious 12-game streak and the team falls to 16-7-3 (9-6-3-3 CCHA).
A home series against Western Michigan, now 7-13-6 (4-9-5-1 CCHA), should have been two cheesecake wins to extend its unbeaten streak to No. 14. The fates, ... Read More

As I've said many times before in many different instances, expectations in sports are dangerous. They're dangerous to fans, to teams and to coaches. The nature of college basketball is such that teams have ups and downs, peaks and valleys.
Nevertheless, we allow ourselves to believe that certain teams and certain players have certain abilities that ought to yield certain results. Even within the scope of a single game, we can observe their exploits and say confidently, "This ... Read More
