Fort Wayne Indiana's (Bishop Luers) DeShaun Thomas reaffirmed his commitment to play for Thad Matta and the Ohio State Buckeyes moments ago.
Thomas told reporters the Buckeyes had been recruiting him since about the eighth grade.
“I like the teachers, the campus and I like coach Thad Matta,” Thomas said. ” … See if we can’t get a National Championshiup my freshman year.”
Since committing about two years, many rumors have swirled around whether Thomas would make good on his word.

I've been reading all the backlash from that Andy Staples article that basically said Pryor was better than Tebow and Bradford. And I have one thing to say..
WHO CARES!!!
Really, we can go back and forth all day and argue until we are blue in the face and still probably change no one's mind.
Why don't we talk about what really matters like oh I dont know, the BCS CHAMPIONSHIP?!
But we'll get back to that in a second

Unscrupulous actions by collegiate coaches to gain an advantage in recruiting are as old as collegiate athletics themselves. Recent allegations that Southern California men's basketball coach Tim Floyd had delivered an envelope containing $1,000 to a person connected with former Trojan player O.J. Mayo is not necessarily surprising, it's just the most recent story regarding this subject.
When it comes to securing the services of top high school athletes, coaches often step outside the boundaries of not just ... Read More

One of the themes of the last couple weeks is contenders, and what makes (or breaks) a team's shot at No. 1, and as I indicated in premature assessment of Ohio State, OSU -- a ubiquitous contender the last four years -- looks like a definite "break." This has much less to do with the Buckeyes' recent failures in their biggest games (though they've become too obvious for even an OSU defender to overlook) than with the much ... Read More

It seems as though Ohio is always loaded with solid football prospects, and this year is no different.
The Buckeye State is especially heaped with offensive linemen, a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio. The Spartans have tendered offers to a half dozen OL prospects from Ohio, but none so far from their home state.
The most recent offensive line prospect to receive an offer is Travis Jackson from DeSales High School in ... Read More

Tim Tebow has been amazing since his freshman year at Florida. He is arguably the strongest quarterback in college football. He can score with his arm as well as his legs, and has led his team in winning the 2009 National Title.
Winning the 2008 Heisman Trophy is just a highlight of what this kid has done. Because of this, he's been labeled the “Superman” of college football.
Is he really the most electrifying player of college football anymore?

The Ohio State Buckeyes play four non-conference games in 2009.
First game being on Sept. 5 against the Navy Midshipmen.
Navy went 8-5 in 2008, with a win against Rutgers 23-21 and Wake Forest, who was ranked No. 16 in the country at the time, 24-17. Navy had an awesome game against Temple last season, trailing 27-7 with 9:16 left on the clock. Navy scored 26 unanswered points, winning 33-27 in dramatic fashion.

The number of commitments varies widely from school to school in the Big Ten at this early point in the recruiting process. At one end of the spectrum Michigan has 10 commitments. On the other hand, Northwestern and Purdue have yet to land a single commitment for 2010, and the Indiana Hoosiers have just one pledge. Sitting right in the middle of the pack are Ohio State and Penn State with five each.

COLUMBUS -- Clear Fork grad Dalton Britt figured out a way to get his foot in the door. Buckeye Central alum Derek Erwin actually used his foot to get through the same door.
Facing odds almost as daunting as an American Idol contestant, the two north central Ohio athletes were among 12 non-scholarship players from a field of 108 candidates invited to join the Ohio State football team for its recently concluded spring season.
