By John Kampf (News-Herald.com) — Senior linebacker Andrew Sweat remains questionable for Saturday’s game at Michigan, Ohio State coach Luke Fickell said on Wednesday.

Sweat missed last week’s game against Penn State with a concussion. He was replaced by freshman Ryan Shazier, who had a game-high 15 tackles.

Sweat said he is going to put the decision on whether to play in the doctors’ hands.

“I’m dying to play, but they’re the experts, so I’ll leave it up to them,” Sweat said.

Video clips of him at Purdue showed him wobbling on the field. He did not return to action and won’t until he passes what he called, “a series of tests” performed by medical specialists.

“There’s a series of tests you go through, exertion testing,” Sweat said. “Like at Purdue, I was fine. I thought I was fine going to the locker room, but I ran out and exerted myself. I obviously wasn’t (fine). You have a series of tests you go through, a protocol in order to get back on the field.”……..
