Terry Glenn, former Ohio State and NFL receiver, had been arrested and charged with auto theft according to an Associated Press article on SpringfieldNewsSun.com. The charges came out of Irvine, Texas when Glenn rented offshore pharmacies an SUV from National Car Rental several weeks ago while his Bently was in for repairs.
Glenn’s attorney said the former football player was on his way to return the sports-utility vehicle when he was arrested by police after National reported the SUV stolen. The attorney called the arrest a “crock of garbage.”
While in the NFL for 12 seasons from 1996 to 2007, Glenn played with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys.
As an Ohio State Buckeye, Glenn won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top wide receiver in 1995.
A year ago, he was arrested on public intoxication and marijuana possession after allegedly causing a disturbance at the Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel in Dallas. TMZ.com reported at the time that the front desk of the hotel received several complaints from guests — but one person claimed they saw Glenn lying on the floor in a hallway with his pants down.
