By: John Cupps — Plantation (Fla.) safety Jeremy Cash, one of the top prospects in the nation, phoned OSU coach Jim Tressel earlier today and gave a verbal commitment to play for the Buckeyes.

While Ohio State has been considered the front runner for some time, several other schools were actively seeking Cash as well including Miami-FL, Florida State, South Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado, Ole Miss, Nebraska, buy without a prescription Louisville, Stanford, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and UCon.

Cash is the ninth pledge for Tressel and the Buckeyes. He’s the third ESPN Watch List prospect in the group;  joining Under Armour All-American defensive end Steve Miller (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) and center Brian Bobek (Palatine, Ill./Fremd).
