By Adam Rittenberg via ESPN.com -- COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Like most coaches, Ohio State's Luke Fickell has neither the time nor the desire to look backward.
Fickell isn't going to publish his memoirs about his 182-day term as Ohio State's head coach last year, when he guided his alma mater through an adversity-filled season that produced subpar results on the field. After Ohio State named Urban Meyer as its head coach on Nov. 28, Fickell's life didn't exactly slow down. He coached ... Read More

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- While Urban Meyer coached at Florida from 2005 to 2010, the Gators played as many as three rivalry games a season -- against Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee.
"You always like to say, 'That's the game,'" Meyer said. "But as soon as you say Tennessee is the game or Georgia is the game, then it's like, 'Well, LSU's not a game?' It was tough down there."
As Meyer prepares to begin his first season as Ohio State's ... Read More

By Doug Harris via springfieldnewssun.com -- A movement is afoot to alter the way college football crowns its national champion, but Ohio State coach Urban Meyer would prefer to stay with the status quo.
He won two crowns at Florida, beating OSU in 2006 and Oklahoma in 2008. But the BCS championship era may be over. Conference commissioners and other officials are discussing proposals to implement a four-team playoff perhaps as soon as 2014.
“If the purpose is to get a true national champion, ... Read More
