Ohio State is coming to the O’Dome

Ohio State will visit the O’Connell Center for a Nov. 16 meeting with Florida, Buckeyes coach Thad Matta announced this week. The home-and-home series takes Florida to Ohio State for the 2011-12 season.

Florida benefited from a strong non-conference schedule last season, ensuring an NCAA Tournament bid thanks to November wins over Michigan State and Florida State. Florida won’t finalize its basketball schedule until August, but Xavier and Florida State also are slated to play the Gators.

Florida and Ohio State have history after a home-and-home series from 2006-08. The two teams split the series. The Gators defeated the Buckeyes 84-75 in the 2007 NCAA Championship game.
