From Cleveland.com –
You won’t find Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel on LSU coach Les Miles’ BCS wish list.
According to Bob Hunter’s “Rumblings” in the Columbus Dispatch, Miles thinks the OSU coach does not take his responsibilities seriously. At least not when it comes to voting for the nation’s top teams, especially when the coaches’ voting is going to revert to a secret ballot.
One year I saw Jim Tressel not vote. It’s a responsibility to do that job at whatever risk or cost there might be to their view and their school’s view. You have to do it. The idea that it has become a secret ballot yet again, I don’t think it changes much. You will eventually be on the other end of the vote one day, so you best do the right thing.
When you own a BCS title game win, you get to ramble all you want.
Fun read - Buckeye blogger Mark Rea rates Ohio State’s 2009 opponents in descending fashion. It’s a thorough, though predictable, assessment.
Remember him? – The Rams Insider has an interview with former OSU linebacker James Laurinaitis, who talks about the St. Louis minicamp.
A lot better than that first mini-camp. That first mini-camp I was just trying to line up at the front. I was not even paying attention to what the offense was doing. I was just running to the ball. Right now it’s getting more of where I’m making calls, I’m communicating to the guys, getting comfortable and I’m starting to pick up on the offensive formation.
Noticing little things in the wide receiver splits that gives you a way of whether it’s a play action or what not. When you’re able to get comfortable within the defense, then you can start paying attention to what the other guys are doing and I’m starting to make that transition.
