CHICAGO — Michigan and Ohio State may be bitter rivals, but that can make for good TV.
U-M antibiotics buy online football coach Rich Rodriguez and OSU coach Jim Tressel shot a public service announcement for muscular dystrophy today at the Big Ten football meetings at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Working for the “Coach to Cure MD” cause, they followed a script that had some banter about their different stadiums, offenses and traditions but showed they could come together for an important cause.

The spot should air this fall and will center around the Sept. 26 weekend, when coaches across the country will wear a logo supporting the cause during games.

After the shoot was over, each headed for individual ESPN interviews.

While Rodriguez was on camera, there was some background noise. So Tressel, standing nearby, jokingly played enforcer: “Keep it down,” he said. “My guy’s on TV.”

Both coaches are on the American Football Coaches Association board.
