By: Bob Rickert (OregonLive.com) — Here’s a really well written and thought out piece on what the Buckeyes can do to slow down Oregon’s offense. I don’t think they can do all of these things. For example, it’s Oregon who force the tempo by getting right back to the line of scrimmage, the Buckeyes can’t control that at all.

But they can keep Oreogn’s offense off the field and keep them from establishing a rhythm if by moving the ball methodically with their offense. And they can create turnovers. Masoli’s always runnign with the ball in his hand, not tucked away. If he puts it on the turf at The Rose Bowl, Ohio State could have a nice day.

But if they do stack the line to desperately stop James and Masoli, they may find out that Jeremiah throws it a lot better than some believe. Maehl, Davis and Tuinei can all make them pay for that strategy, along with Dickson of course. That first series will be very telling and interesting to watch.
