Seventh seeded Mississippi State advanced to the Sweet 16, after pulling off a stunning 87-67 upset over Ohio State (No.2 seed).
Forward Alexis Rack dropped a game-high 30 points, while Chanel Mokango scored 19 points for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs employed excellent defense throughout, limiting the Buckeyes to only 46.3 percent field goal conversions.
Buckeyes star Janel Lavender made only eight of her 20 shots to finish with 17 points.
Mississippi State plays third-seeded Florida State after edging No.6 seeded, St. John’s 66-65.
