From: SouthBendTribune.com — COLUMBUS, Ohio — Mathieu Picard scored two goals and Zac Dalpe added a late insurance goal as Ohio State defeated Notre Dame, 3-1, on Friday night in game one of the best-of-three CCHA playoff series at the OSU Ice Rink.

Sophomore Richard Ryan scored his first collegiate goal for the Irish, who outshot Ohio State, 35-28, in the game.

The loss drops the Irish to 13-16-8 overall, while the Buckeyes move to 13-16-6. Game two of the series will be played at 7:05 on Saturday night.
Notre Dame freshman goaltender Mike Johnson finished the night with 25 saves, while junior Dustin Carlson had 34 saves in the Ohio State goal.

The two teams were scoreless after one period. Notre Dame had a pair of power Viagra buy plays in the opening period while the Buckeyes had just one. ND ended the night 0-for-6 on power plays.
