By: Sean Jackson (Examiner.com) –  Ohio State center Michael Brewster was named to the spring watch list of favorites to win the Rimington Trophy. The trophy honors the nation’s top center. This is his second consecutive season being selected to the watch list.

Brewster will have tough competition as fellow Big Ten counterparts David Molk from Michigan and Ben Burkett from Northwestern is just two of the many competitors Brewster is up against.

The watch list is familiar territory for many of the Buckeyes’ past centers.

Former Buckeye LeCharles Bentley won the award in 2001. Fellow Buckeye centers selected to the watch list include; Jim Cordle (2007+2008), Nick Mangold (2004+2005) and Alex Stepanovich (2003).
