Ohio State officially announced the date of its annual free public practice. Fans will get a look at the Buckeyes this preseason on Aug. 24.

Gates Online Generic pharmacy will open at Ohio Stadium at 6:30 p.m., with players to hit the field around 7:15 and start practicing at 7:30.

Like last year, there will be no player autograph session. But the renovated OSU library will be open for tours from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Jim Tressel will be signing copies of his book “The Winners Manual” from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m at the library.

Ohio State opened preseason practice today. Reporters will have their first look at practice Tuesday morning.
