Some spring game highlights after three quarters:
* Terrelle Pryor has thrown two touchdown passes, a 44-yarder to Taurian Washington and a 42-yarder to Ray Small. Small made a great cut inside after his catch, which was set up by an onside kick recovery late in the first half. Pryor has looked very good. Pryor’s Gray team leads 23-3 after three quarters.
* Ohio State reported a crowd of 95,722, which set a new national record for spring game attendance. The previous record was more than 92,138 at Alabama’s spring game in 2007 in the debut of Nick Saban.
* Backup walkon running back Marcus Williams broke off a 75-yard run after getting stuck at the line, then squeezing through a hole. Tyler Moeller and Anderson Russell ran him down from behind.
* The Gray team was worried about a lack of tackles. The answer? Putting Justin Boren, who will be the starting left guard and hasn’t played tackle before, out at left tackle. He held his own.
* Plenty of future Buckeyes here, including most of the freshmen who will report in June, including Duron Carter, Jamaal Berry, Carlos Hyde, Dorian Bell, Corey Brown, Melvin Fellows and Chris Fields.
* A couple Buckeyes waiting on the draft – Beanie Wells and Donald Washington – were here early as well.
