Ohio State’s Scarlet and Gray game attracted what is believed to be a national spring game attendance record of 95,722 fans on Saturday.

Very impressive.

On the field, the Buckeyes proved that they’ll be just fine in 2009. Yes, Ohio State did lose a lot (as evidenced if you watched the NFL Draft over the weekend).

Terrelle Pryor completed 13 of 18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

Brian Robiske and Brian Hartline are both now in the NFL, but the group for 2009 looks good. Taurian Washington caught four passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, and Ray Smalls had four catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Replacing star running back Chris Wells will be tough, but Marcus Williams, Dan Herron and Brandon Saine all played well Saturday.
