Blake Hoffarber scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers to shop drugs a 73-62 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes in a Big Ten Conference battle at Williams Arena.

Lawrence Westbrook also added 15 points for the Golden Gophers (12-4, 3-1 Big 10), while Al Nolen and Damian Johnson chipped win with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Evan Turner led the way for OSU (11-5, 1-3), tallying 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. William Buford also got involved, netting 17 points, while David Lighty checked in with 15 points for the Buckeyes.

OSU took advantage of a strong first-half push, shooting 54.2 percent from the floor to take a 33-32 lead at the break.

Minnesota stormed back in the second stanza, knocking down 7-of-12 three-point attempts en route to a nine-point victory.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Minnesota outscored OSU 33-15 from long distance.
