Columbus, OH (AHN) – Jeremie Simmons came off the bench to score 14 points and lead a second-half surge as the Ohio State Buckeyes snapoped a three-game skid with a 73-59 defeat of the Penn State Nittany Lions Tuesday night.

P.J. Hill and B.J. Mullens each had 13 points and William Buford added 11, all in the first half.

Simmons scored the last five points of the first half to give Ohio State a 32-30 lead.

He came out in the second half and hit three 3-pointers as the Buckeyes (18-8, 8-7 Big Ten) took control by scoring 25 of the game’s final 35 points.

The Nittany Lions (19-9, 8-7) were led by Jamelle Cornley’s 11 points while Stanley Pringle, Talor Battle and Andrew Jones each had 10.

Evan Turner, second in the Big Ten in scoring at 17.2 points per game, finished with just six points, but had a career-high eight assists to go with six rebounds.
