By: Doug Lesmerises (Cleveland Plain Dealer) — Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor had his moments Saturday night, particularly with two big first-half passes to Dane Sanzenbacher and DeVier Posey. But he certainly wasn’t good enough to carry the Buckeyes to victory over USC. OSU coach Jim Tressel thought Pryor’s night was a mix of good and some things that need to improve.

Comedian and USC fan Will Ferrell took time to pump up Trojans’ coach Pete Carroll before Saturday night’s game at Ohio State. Ohio State basketball coach Thad Matta swung to the opposing sideline to chat up Ferrell at halftime.

Ohio State’s sixth straight against a top five team can’t be easy for the players who have been part of all of them. Any of the seniors have gone through all the losses, as freshmen against Florida in the national title game after the 2006 season, and then growing up and gaining more and more playing time for the losses to LSU, USC, Penn State, Texas and USC again.

No wonder safety Kurt Coleman, a senior captain and three-year starter, is so wiped out.
