By: John Kampf (News-Herald.com) — COLUMBUS — Cameras clicked and fingers pointed as Terrelle Pryor jogged out of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Sunday afternoon.
Unlike numerous teammates who stopped to hug, shake hands with or kiss family members on their way to the practice field, Pryor’s stride was broken by no one.
The 6-foot-6, 235-pound quarterback of the Ohio State Buckeyes flashed a smile to members of the media and family members of players who were on hand for practice and the Media Day festivities later in the day. Besides that, he was all business.
That’s how it’s going to be this year for the Heisman Trophy candidate.
“Believe me, I had my fun days,” he said, talking about his maturation and development since arriving in Columbus a few summers back. “Freshmen come in as freshmen. We’re all human beings and make mistakes. You have your fun and you’ve got to enjoy your first time.
“But now, I go about it as a business.”
That was pretty much the case all of last season, but it is definitely the case since Pryor had a career game in the Rose Bowl last New Year’s Day, a game that has thrust him even more prominently into the spotlight and into more of a leadership role.
