Ohio State has released its depth chart for Monday's opener against Navy, and it appears that some position battles have been won. There are no positions listed with an OR that indicate the first-team spot is split. I'm sure we'll still see plenty of players moving in and out at certain spots for the Buckeyes, but according to the depth chart, here is the news:
• Andrew Miller is the left tackle. J.B. Shugarts is second team.

The 2009 football season for the Ohio State Buckeyes is one of intrigue. The Buckeyes return eleven starters to a team that won its fourth consecutive Big Ten Championship in 2008. The intrigue comes from the players replacing the senior class of 2008. The Buckeyes will take the field with a much faster group than the 2008 version.
The key areas that will be affected by the departed and the areas to watch are the offensive line, linebackers, and ... Read More

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Cris Carter can barely explain it, so maybe the 52-7 victory by St. Thomas Aquinas of Florida over Upper Arlington on Saturday did it for him.
A year ago, Carter's son, Duron, was the star receiver for Aquinas when it finished undefeated and ranked as the No. 1 high school football team in the country. Now, Carter is pushing to be Ohio State's No. 4 receiver as a true freshman, and he was in ... Read More

By: Tom Dienhart (Rivals.com) -- Four words set off a firestorm of controversy from Ann Arbor to Columbus:
"Family values have eroded."
That is what offensive lineman Justin Boren alleged about Michigan in the spring of 2008 after announcing he was transferring from Michigan to Ohio State. A rivalry already double-dipped in hatred was spiced up with the unthinkable: a player transferring from one school to the other - and spouting off about it.
What would Woody and Bo think?
"I believe Justin can be a ... Read More

Even before the 2009 season gets underway, controversy and scandal has found its way back onto the Michigan campus.
On Saturday, Michael Rosenberg and Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press reported that the Wolverines have "consistently violated NCAA rules governing off-season workouts, in-season demands on players and mandatory summer activities under coach Rich Rodriguez."
According to six current or former Michigan football players, practice sessions typically exceeded limits set by the NCAA and that members of the team's ... Read More

More than on-field performance how to buy prescription drugs without a prescription went into the demotion of left tackle Mike Adams to Ohio State's third team. The Columbus Dispatch reported that Adams, a sophomore and the top offensive lineman recruit in the nation in the Class of 2008, according to Rivals.com, will be suspended for the first two games of the season for a violation of team rules.

Though it might pain Michigan fans to hear it, the Big Ten owes a major debt to Ohio State.
With the Buckeyes' remarkable consistency the past seven years -- six seasons of at least 10 wins -- they have secured their place as one of the nation's elite programs.
They've rolled over elite offensive and defensive players and still plow through the Big Ten with no consistent competition.
Yet they're decried nationally for their struggles in the spotlight. Losses ... Read More

Imagine 6-6 quarterback Terrelle Pryor throwing lob passes to 6-7 wideout Tyrone Williams in the back of the Ohio State end zone. Buckeyes fans can begin the fantasy now.
"He's the best quarterback I've ever seen in college, and he's really fast, too," Williams said. "I looking forward to catching balls from him."
Williams (6-7, 215), a wide receiver at Shaw High School in East Cleveland, made an oral commitment to Ohio State on Saturday. He has grown ... Read More

BY: JON SPENCER (ChillicotheGazette.com) -- COLUMBUS -- Humans who stand 6-foot-6 and close to 240 pounds aren't supposed to be able to run 40 yards in 4.33 seconds. Then again, Donna Silvis never has known Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor to be human when it comes to sheer athleticism.
So excuse her if she wasn't as floored as OSU coach Jim Tressel by Pryor's fab 40 in a summer conditioning drill.
You better believe the sophomore's 4.33 has the Naval Academy on red ... Read More
