With the Buckeyes coming off another lackluster offensive performance in the 13-6 loss to Penn State, and having three games this year without an offensive touchdown, Jim Tressel is taking advantage of the bye week.

I couldn't believe my ears.
In the 119-year history of Ohio State football, no numbers are more grating than John Cooper's 2-10-1 mark against Michigan. That's saying something, given the scores of the past two national championship games.
We're talking more grating than Gilbert Gottfried's voice.
But those yearly gaffes and gags against the Wolverines are ancient history. At least I thought they were until boos cascaded down upon Cooper from a record Ohio Stadium throng Saturday night as he ... Read More

Going back to just the 2006 class, the mental and physical traits of prospects coming out of Ohio have afforded them the ability to contribute early and in some cases make a big impact.
The wealth of the 2006 class was spread around the Midwest with obvious playmakers like RB Chris Wells (Akron, Ohio/Garfield) and TE Jake Ballard (Springboro, Ohio) making splashes at Ohio State. Tight end Jeff Cumberland (Columbus, Ohio/Brookhaven) has become one of the more versatile ... Read More

"I really like this team," Matta said Monday during the team's media day. "But there are so many unknowns. ... Read More

Ohio State fans have heard it before. BCS doesn’t stand for Bowl Championship Series. It stands for Buckeyes Can’t Score.
After Saturday’s performance against a struggling Purdue defense, Ohio State did nothing to squash that notion.
The offense didn’t score a touchdown in a 16-3 win. The only touchdown came off a blocked punt return.
Looking back at previous games, things haven’t been much better.
There was the debacle at Southern Cal with the offense getting just three points, the late ... Read More
