PLAYER OF THE GAME
Chris "Beanie" Wells
Before "Beanie" Wells ever took a handoff Saturday, he wasn't 100 percent. Wells has battled a foot injury all season. COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State's senior class always will be viewed through two different prisms.
Within Buckeye Nation, they will forever remain conquering heroes, a group that dominated the Big Ten Conference and archrival Michigan like none before. Ohio State won outright Big Ten titles (2006, 2007) or shared the championship (2005, 2008) in all four seasons that they played.
Ever since the fifth-year seniors set foot on campus back in 2004, Ohio State hasn't lost to Michigan. The ... Read More

COLUMBUS Wounded Wolverines in front of them for four quarters, Ohio State's Buckeyes knew exactly what to do to their rivals from Michigan.

COLUMBUS All season long Brian Hartline watched one of his best friends suffer. He watched Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman, a fifth-year senior who has sacrificed for the Buckeye football team for almost six years, get sent to the bench. Hartline watched Boeckman, a captain, reduced to player-coach role, almost.
Then on a bitter cold afternoon at Ohio Stadium against the Buckeyes' biggest rival, there was a group hug from Boeckman's teammates and the 105,564 fans, who, ... Read More

Ohio State and the bowls
• Rose Bowl: Ohio State, co-Big Ten champs with Penn State at 7-1, is out because the Nittany Lions win the head-to-head tiebreaker and the Big Ten's automatic bid. If chaos ensues and numerous top teams win and Penn State somehow makes the national title game, then ... well, that won't happen.
• Capital One Bowl: This is fairly simple. If Oregon State wins out and takes the Pac-10 title, Ohio State almost certainly ... Read More
