Three point five seconds left. Sullinger’s at the line. He shoots his first free throw, he misses and every stomach in Ohio drops to the floor. He gears up to shoot his next, he shoots, he hits it! Of course the free throw would have been much less awe worthy if it had not had been to give the Buckeyes a one point advantage over, but it did so all members of ... Read More

Jared Sullinger is arguably the best player in college basketball. Many basketball experts tabbed Greg Oden with the same title during his tenure as a Buckeye.
Greg Oden has been unfairly judged as a NBA player, but during his lone season at Ohio State nobody could compare to Oden. Oden is a specimen who stands "7'0" tall and weighs about 270 pounds. Oden's game was based off potential more than results.

Fifty-six players were on the official NFL list of collegians leaving school early for the NFL Draft, which was released Wednesday.
For the first time since 2003, an Ohio State player wasn't among the early departures. As the five Buckeyes suspended by the NCAA for the start of the 2011 season promised before the Sugar Bowl, none of them -- Terrelle Pryor, DeVier Posey, Dan Herron, Mike Adams and Solomon Thomas -- left school for the pros, ... By: DARREN EVERSON (WSJ.com) -- College basketball has a royal class, an exclusive fraternity of elite programs. These are the schools whose tradition and recruiting pull are so powerful, their continued success is virtually inevitable.
Duke, of course, sits at the head of the generic drugs without prescription table. Kansas and Kentucky are full-fledged members too. The question before the sport now, though, is whether another school is on the verge of joining them.

By Adam Rittenberg (ESPN.com) -- The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft came and went Saturday, and things remained quiet in Columbus.
Despite assumptions from yours truly and many others in the media that some of Ohio State's five suspended juniors would go pro, no official announcements have been made. A team spokeswoman told me Monday that to her knowledge, no Ohio State underclassmen -- suspended or otherwise -- have declared for the draft.
