When Ohio State took the field against archrival Michigan last year, the Buckeyes looked a little different.

Not in their play, but in the 1940s throwback uniforms they wore for the big game.

Expect to see a different brand of Buckeyes again this year when Michigan pays a visit to the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio.

On Sept. 1, Nike will officially unveil alternate uniforms that 10 teams — including Ohio State — will wear for one game this season.

The Buckeyes will wear the new digs on Nov. 27 against the Wolverines.

Nike will officially unveil the rest at an event on Sept. 1 in New York City, when the company will reveal the design and back stories for the Combat Series to be worn by Ohio State, Alabama, Boise State, Florida, Miami, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, TCU, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

No word on whether Virginia Tech and Boise State will wear the uniforms in their season opener at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
