Even though Ohio State’s season ended with a 21-10 victory over Big Ten foe Michigan on Nov. 21, the Buckeyes seen some changes in the latest AP and USAToday Polls. The Buckeyes, coming off their fifth straight conference title, moved up one spot to No. 8 in the AP Poll. Ohio State had 1103 points, just one less than No. 7 Oregon. Nothing changed in the top six of the AP Poll with Florida holding on firm to No. 1 while Alabama, Texas, TCU, Cincinnati and Boise State finish it out.

In the USA Today Poll, Ohio State came in at No. 7, one better than last week. No changes occurred in the top six in the USA Today Polls and mirrored the AP Poll.

Alabama will host Florida on Saturday in a battle of the top two teams, with will surely have an overall effect on the BCS standings.

The Buckeyes have already secured a spot in the Rose Bowl, to be played Jan. 1, 2010.
