Christian Bryant, Glenville’s talented all-purpose senior football player, gave his oral commitment to Ohio State during a 3 p.m. press conference this afternoon at the high school.
Bryant did everything but drive the bus this season for the Division I state runner-up Tarblooders. He picked the Buckeyes over Ohio North Carolina. Some of his other scholarship offers included Michigan State, Minnesota, Stanford, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Notre Dame. He was ranked among the nation’s top 125 high school seniors by rivals.com.
The 5-11, 180-pounder accounted for 57 tackles and three interceptions as a cornerback, passed for 194 yards as a quarterback, rushed for over 150 yards as a tailback, garnered 145 yards as a receiver and also did the punting and place-kicking.
A member of The Plain Dealer All-Star Team, Bryant was also ranked the 11th-best senior by Ohio High Magazine, was ranked eighth and 10th nationally as a cornerback, respectively, by Scout.com. and Rivals.com.
