COLUMBUS - The Ohio State University will be without a football coach after the Buckeyes play in the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas on January 4th.
Two sources closely involved in recruiting at prominent universities have confirmed with ChicagoNow.com sports blogger that Buckeye recruits have been informed that Jim Tressel will not be back as coach, and have been allowed to look for other options if they so choose.
The news of Tressel leaving the OSU football program cannot be confirmed as of the publishing of this article.
This is just the latest news to rock Ohio State as quarterback Terrelle Pryor was among five Ohio State University football players suspended for the first five games of next season after selling awards, gifts and university apparel and receiving other benefits, the school confirmed December 23 on its website.
