Fresh off claiming the championship of the preseason WNIT, the third-ranked Ohio State women’s basketball team rolled to 6-0 with an 89-56 defeat of visiting North Carolina Greensboro on Wednesday night. Twelve Buckeyes scored, with Jantel Lavneder and Samantha Prahalis leading the way.

UNC Greensboro took an early 7-5 lead in the first four minutes, but the Buckeyes rattled off nine in a row in just 1:04 to quickly jump out in front by seven in front of 2,956 fans at Value City Arena in Columbus.

Ohio State forward Sarah Schulze made a three-pointer to kick off the run then added a layup. Teammate Jantel Lavender followed with a pair of buckets, and the Buckeyes led 14-7 with 14:05 to go in the first half.

Point guard Samantha Prahalis assisted on all four baskets then found her own scoring touch.

After Amanda Leigh made a three-pointer from the left wing for the Spartans (1-3), Prahalis made a layup to push the Ohio State……
