From: Cleveland Plain Dealer -
The Miami Herald reports that high school football standout Lamarcus Joyner has put the Buckeyes on his short list of schools to visit.

Playing both offense and defense at St. Thomas Aquinas High, Joyner plans to visit Ohio State when the Buckeyes host USC on Sept. 12.

Joyner played safety and wide receiver last season, so it will be up to the college recruiters to figure out his best position. According to the article, that should not be a problem.

Joyner, though, clearly is at the head of the class. Sporting News ranks him the fourth-best recruit in the nation regardless of position in its Top 100. Scout.com ranks him eighth. Rivals.com has him 10th.

Besides OSU, Joyner listed Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and USC as his other choices.

With Joyner on campus, a win by the Buckeyes in September could sway things their way.
