By: Tom Lewis (SBNation.com) — Sophomore guard Aaron Craft knocked down a three-pointer on the first possession of the season for the third ranked Ohio State Buckeyes and they would never relinquish the lead in their season-opening game against the Wright State Raiders, rolling to a 73-42 win.

Thad Matta had to enjoy the way his Buckeyes started the game, showing why they are a team expected to contend for a national championship this season. While jumping out to an 11-4 lead to start the game, all five starters scored at least two points during the run, capped off by a nice dunk from Deshaun Thomas.

Matta is known for his tight playing rotations which wasn’t a factor in this blowout, but the starting unit did have an efficient night in disposing of Wright State. Senior William Buford is the leader of the bunch surrounded by super Sophs, Craft, Thomas, Lenzelle Smith, Jr. and of course, Jared Sullinger…..
