By: MATT MARKEY (Toledo Blade) — COLUMBUS – The No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes defeated No. 12 Miami 36-24 Saturday in front of an announced crowd of 105,545 – the sixth largest in Ohio Stadium history.
The Buckeyes’defense feasted on Miami quarterback Jacory Harris, intercepting him four times. Ohio State’s Devin Barclay tied a school record with five field goals. The Buckeyes’ touchdowns in the game came on an 18-yard pass from Terrelle Pryor to Brandon Saine, a four-yard run by Dan Herron, and a 13-yard run by Pryor. Pryor’s scramble for a score made it 33-17 early in the second half.
Ohio State’s special teams continued to struggle, however, allowing two kick return touchdowns by Miami in the first half. Ohio State allowed an 88-yard kickoff return, and a 79-yard punt return, both for scores. Last week against Marshall, Ohio State (2-0) had a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown…..
