Today is a dark day in Ohio State’s history. While there’s no doubt that what Terrelle Pryor, DeVier Posey, Mike Adams, Solomon Thomas, Dan Herron and Jordan Whiting did to be suspended was stupid, it’s in the past. It’s time to move on.
The Buckeyes don’t have time to wallow. They have a huge bowl game to prepare for. Yes, the news surrounding the suspensions are distracting, however, the team can come together and move past this. In fact, that’s all they can do.
This starts from the top on down.
Jim Tressel needs to rally his troops. This is a big test for Jim and his staff, as they need to do damage control and re-direct the team’s focus to Arkansas.
As far as the six violators are concerned, they need to move on. They made big mistakes, now it’s time to show they can move past them. They can also show Buckeye Nation how much the university means to them by staying next season, take their punishment and make this a national title caliber team.
For now, Ohio State has a chance to show the college football world it can bounce back. On January 4, we’ll see if they can.
