It appears as if there was a miscommunication or a bit of confusion this morning when several media outlets reported that Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer instituted a ban on players posting comments on Twitter.

Meyer, who called a 7 a.m. team meeting for today, supposedly banned his players from Tweeting. A handful of OSU players Tweeted that they were no longer going to be sharing their thoughts on the social-networking site.

Jake Stoneburner, a junior tight end Tweeted from his account, @STONEYEleven:

 

Tight end Reid Fragel, moving to offensive tackle, also posted on his Twitter account, @Fragel88:

Although not confirmed, several sources are saying there was no mention of Twitter during the team meeting this morning.
