Ohio State doesn’t start training camp for another week, but the Buckeyes seem to be dominating the headlines today.

There appears to be good news for heralded Buckeyes running back recruit Jaamal Berry, who will have his drug-possession charges dropped as long as he soma online without prescription target=”_blank”>completes a six-month diversion program. Berry was arrested for felony marijuana possession June 11 in Miami but had the charge later reduced to a misdemeanor.

The agreement for Berry to enter the pretrial diversion program was reached at a hearing Friday. Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel said last week at Big Ten media days that Berry won’t be suspended, indicating the talented freshman could move into the third-string running back spot behind Dan Herron and Brandon Saine. Berry was rated as the No. 3 running back in the 2009 class by ESPN’s Scouts Inc.

I also checked in with Ohio State about wide receiver/punt returner Ray Small, whose status for training camp and the start of the season is up in the air. Team spokeswoman Shelly Poe wrote in an e-mail that Small’s status has not changed to date and that as of right now, the senior is expected to report with the rest of the team Sunday for camp.
