Grant Tunkel, USC: USC’s defense will be too strong for Ohio State to handle, smothering the Buckeyes from the get-go and giving USC a big win. USC 27, Ohio State 17
Caleb Troop, Ohio: The Buckeyes needed five turnovers just to get by the Ohio Bobcats, so what evidence is there for us to believe OSU can cross the nation and beat the Trojans? USC 31, Ohio State 17
Bryan Wheeler, Kansas: Ohio State, despite rallying for a win against a mediocre Ohio team, cannot escape being slaughtered by the Trojans. Luckily, Ohio State is scheduled to battle Troy in Week 4. USC 42, Ohio State 13
Sam Hellman, Rutgers: This is not the UVA defense that Mark Sanchez will be facing. Ohio State’s defense will keep the offense in the game, with or without Beanie Wells, and Ohio State squeaks out a win. Ohio State 27, USC 24
Steven Jones, Oklahoma: I still think Chris Wells will play, and I still don’t see it making much of a difference. USC 28, Ohio State 12
Casey Callanan, West Virginia: Ohio St. will not be able to rebound enough after its miserable play against Frank Solich and Ohio; the Trojans will edge this one out. USC 24, Ohio State 16
Alex Altman, Michigan State: I’ve got a funny feeling the Trojans will underestimate Ohio State’s talent in this game. Healthy or not, Beanie Wells’ mere presence in Ohio State’s backfield would open up the Buckeyes’ offense. He’s listed as “doubtful,” but coaches are notorious for fudging injury reports before big games. Ohio State 24, USC 21
Dan Feldman, Michigan: I wish we could see this game with a healthy Beanie Wells. USC 21, Ohio State 14
Pat Mitsch, Pittsburgh: Even with Beanie Wells, Ohio State can’t run with the Trojans. USC 31, Ohio State 17
Andrew Heberling, Tennessee: Even Beanie Wells at 100 percent couldn’t help the Buckeyes beat the Trojans, who will use their speed on defense to shut down Todd Boeckman and Co. Mark Sanchez will make a living going over the top on an overrated Buckeye secondary. USC 31, Ohio State 17
Matt Gelb, Syracuse: No Wells, no chance for the Buckeyes. USC 31, Ohio State 17
Shayan Masoudpour, Maryland: This game could resemble last year’s Rose Bowl. USC 24, Ohio State 13
Mike Abrams, Indiana: USC is a superior team, and the Trojans are playing at home. Add that to the fact that Beanie Wells still isn’t 100 percent healthy, and you get a USC win. USC 31, Ohio State 17
Stephen Hill, Kentucky: Ohio St. will struggle to match the offense that USC will put up. USC 38, Ohio State 18
Barry Goldenberg, UCLA: The Trojans, at home in the Coliseum, will absolutely embarrass Ohio State with authority. USC 35, Ohio State 17
Michael McCall, Florida: The Trojans will stomp the Buckeyes and finally put an end to their three seasons of being overrated. USC 38, Ohio State 10
Lenny Goldman, Missouri: USC is going to prove that the Big 10 can no longer compete with the rest of the nation. USC 35, Ohio State 17
Joe Stapleton, Michigan: The Southern Cal defense is simply too fast for a gimpy Beanie, and Sanchez picks the OSU secondary apart. USC 34, Ohio State 14
Andrew Kovach, Notre Dame: Beanie or no Beanie, the Buckeyes will have a tough go of it against a rock-solid Trojan defense. OSU will keep it close for a while, but USC is just too loaded to be taken down on their home turf. USC 28, Ohio State 17
Patrick Perkins, BYU: It wont come easy for No. 1 USC, but the Trojans should have enough firepower to down the Buckeyes in the Coliseum. USC 31, Ohio State 24
Brian Dalek, Marshall: Trojans by a mile. Without Chris Wells, the Buckeyes may actually rely too much on Terrell Pryor, and he’s not ready to go up against the big-show USC defense. USC 42, Ohio State 17
Pete Jensen, Penn State: Pryor will be a spark to the Buckeyes, but in the end, the prolific offense of the Trojans will hold off the experienced Buckeyes, who will be hindered by the loss of Chris Wells. USC 37, Ohio State 27
