From: MCALL.COM — Oklahoma strengthened its hold on the No. 1 spot in both the Associated Press and USA Today college football polls released Sunday, but Ohio State dropped out of the Associated Press top 25 for the first time since Nov. 20, 2004.

The Sooners were a near unanimous pick in the USA Today coaches poll and were a solid No. 1 in the AP media poll. Alabama was No. 2 in the coaches poll, while LSU held that spot in the AP rankings.

Boise State remained No. 4, and Stanford moved up to No. 5 in both polls, while Florida State dropped from No. 5 to No. 11 in the AP poll and No. 14 in the coaches poll……
