Recruiting is a never ending process for most colleges and Ohio State is no different. According to Bill Greene of scout.com, the Buckeyes will host several of the top 2013 prospects today.
In addition to having high school senior Stefon Diggs on campus this weekend for an official visit, the Buckeyes will entertain several of the top in-state junior stars for the basketball game against the Michigan Wolverines.
Among those in Columbus this weekend are:
Jalin Marshall: Ohio’s top prospect and an early five-star recruit. Will make his commitment on Tuesday, and anyone other than the Buckeyes would be a shocker.
Malik Zaire: One of the top quarterback prospects in Ohio for 2013, Zaire holds multiple offers including Ohio State.
TraVon Chapman: Another top quarterback prospect, from Kent Roosevelt. Chapman holds an offer from Kent State.
Darron Lee: One of the top all-around athletes in the 2013 class, and a player that could project at a number of skill positions. Offered by Boston College.
De’Niro Laster: Another versatile athlete that could project as a wideout, tight end or linebacker. Holds several MAC offers.
Evan Lisle: Possibly Ohio’s top offensive line prospect for 2013. Holds offers from Miami of Florida, Illinois, Cincinnati and Boston College.
Lovell Peterson: One of the top center prospects, but could project as a defensive tackle. Offered by Illinois.
Alex Gall: Top offensive tackle prospect, and he is drawing interest from several top programs.
Michael McCray: Is this linebacker the top defensive prospect in Ohio for 2013? Holds multiple offers, and Tennessee could be the favorite at this time.
