Ohio State moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest BCS rankings, but the leap wasn’t enough to catapult the Buckeyes past Wisconsin.

The No. 5 Badgers will likely earn a berth to the Rose Bowl by being the highest-ranked of the three teams — Wisconsin, OSU and Michigan State — that split the Big Ten title.

Michigan State checked in at No. 8.

Auburn and Oregon switched spots atop the BCS totem pole. After turning a 24-7 halftime deficit at Alabama into a 28-27 victory, the Tigers took over the top spot. Oregon fell to No. 2 despite beating Arizona 48-29.

Losses by Boise State and LSU — ranked No. 4 and No. 5 last week, respectively — paved the way for a number of teams to move up.

LSU, which lost to Arkansas 31-23 on Saturday, fell to No. 10. The Razorbacks, ranked No. 13 last week, jumped up to No. 7.

Stanford moved up to No. 4, while TCU remained No. 3.

Oklahoma, which will play Nebraska in the Big 12 championship game, moved up to No. 9.
