• The Buckeyes turned away a Wolverine scoring threat in the first quarter when Orhian Johnson recorded his second forced fumble of the season that was recovered by Nathan Williams, his second fumble recovery of the year.

• The Buckeyes allowed a 100-yard rusher for just the second time this season and marked the first 100-yard rushing performance by an opposing quarterback since Jake Locker at Washington in 2007, a span of 47 games.

• Ohio State has allowed fewer than 21 points 60 times since the start of 2005, the most among FBS teams in that span. Ohio State is 57-3 in those games.

• Travis Howard recorded his first career fumble recovery late in the second quarter before recording his second interception in three games with his INT in the third quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS

• Jordan Hall recorded his first career kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, an 85-yarder, making the first KO return for a touchdown by Ohio State since Ray Small against Wisconsin in 2009.

• Ben Buchanan had a career-long 59-yard punt in the fourth quarter, topping his previous high of 53 set vs. Indiana earlier this year.
