• Ohio State wins its sixth consecutive Big Ten championship and its 35th overall, the second most among Big Ten schools.
• The six consecutive conference titles (outright or shared) ties the Big Ten record set by the Buckeyes from 1972-77.

• Ohio State has won 17 of its last 18 games and 44 of its last 49 Big Ten contests.

• Ohio State is 98-17 since the start of the 2002 season, the third-best record among FBS teams.

• Ohio State is 462-191-28 (.699) all-time in Big Ten games since 1913, the best winning percentage among Big Ten schools.

• Tressel is now 9-1 against Michigan since coming to Ohio State in 2001.

• Tressel is 105-22 in his 10th year at Ohio State and 240-79-2 overall. He is the second-winningest active FBS coach behind Penn State’s Joe Paterno (401).

• Ohio State is 95-7 under Tressel when it rushes for at least 125 yards.

• Ohio State is 29-4 under Tressel in the month of November and 17-1 since 2005.

• Tressel is now 91-6 when leading or tied at the half and 98-6 when leading or tied going into the fourth quarter at Ohio State.

SERIES NOTES

• Saturday was the 107th meeting between Ohio State and Michigan.

• Ohio State has now won seven in a row over its rival, the longest Ohio State win streak in the series history (2004-10).

• Michigan leads the all-time series 57-44-6 and holds a 27-24-2 advantage in Columbus. The Wolverines have not won in Columbus since the 2000 season.

Dan Herron has 351 rushing yards in his career against Michigan, running for 175 today. He entered the 2010 contest with 176 in his first two games - 80 yards in 2008 and 96 in 2009.

OFFENSIVE NOTES

Dan Herron has now scored at least one touchdown in 11 consecutive games.

Dan Herron rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, going over 1,000 for the season and 2,000 for his career.

Dan Herron recorded a career-long 89-yard run in the third quarter, tying Gene Fekete for the longest play from scrimmage in Ohio State history. Herron’s previous long was a 53-yarder last season against New Mexico State.

• Ohio State is 19-3 when Dan Herron scores a rushing TD in his career.

Terrelle Pryor is now 30-4 as Ohio State’s starting quarterback.

Terrelle Pryor improved on his school record with his 21st game with at least 200 yards of total offense.

Terrelle Pryor now needs just 18 yards rushing to pass Cornelius Greene (2,066 from 1972-75) for first place among Ohio State quarterbacks.

• Ohio State is now 27-1 when Terrelle Pryor throws at least one touchdown pass.

DeVier Posey has now caught at least one pass in 26 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the Big Ten.
Dane Sanzenbacher has now caught at least one pass in 18 consecutive games.

• Ohio State is 35-5 when Dane Sanzenbacher records at least one catch.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

• Ohio State held Michigan to its lowest point total of the season. The last time Michigan was held to seven points was in the 2008 meeting with the Buckeyes, a 42-7 Ohio State win.

• The Buckeyes turned away a Wolverine scoring threat in the first quarter when Orhian Johnson recorded his second forced fumble of the season that was recovered by Nathan Williams, his second fumble recovery of the year.

• The Buckeyes allowed a 100-yard rusher for just the second time this season and marked the first 100-yard rushing performance by an opposing quarterback since Jake Locker at Washington in 2007, a span of 47 games.

• Ohio State has allowed fewer than 21 points 60 times since the start of 2005, the most among FBS teams in that span. Ohio State is 57-3 in those games.

Travis Howard recorded his first career fumble recovery late in the second quarter before recording his second interception in three games with his INT in the third quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Jordan Hall recorded his first career kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, an 85-yarder, making the first KO return for a touchdown by Ohio State since Ray Small against Wisconsin in 2009.

Ben Buchanan had a career-long 59-yard punt in the fourth quarter, topping his previous high of 53 set vs. Indiana earlier this year.
