By: Sam Amico (FoxSportsOhio.com) -- Ohio State's David Lighty and Jon Diebler may not get drafted by an NBA team, and each seems to be doing his part to make sure it stays that way.
Lighty and Diebler just completed their senior seasons with the Buckeyes, who were eliminated by Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen.
And both continue to reject opportunities to play in front of pro scouts.
First, they turned down the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where college seniors on the ... Read More

Now that Ohio State has surrendered the high moral ground to Michigan, and will continue to do so as long as Jim Tressel remains in Columbus, the Wolverines have their sights set on the field.
But in that endeavor, new coach Brady Hoke has a tremendous task ahead. Hoke inherited a program that has made an art form of looking good while losing bad.
Former coach Rich Rodriguez turned loose an eye-catching offense that won just six ... Read More

From: ESPN.com -- COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Ohio State and NFL quarterback Art Schlichter should not be tried in Columbus, his attorney said after Schlichter pleaded not guilty to theft charges.
Schlichter, 51, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to all charges in a 13-count indictment. He is accused of bilking people in what authorities have described as a million-dollar ticket-selling scheme.
Schlichter's new defense attorney, Sam Weiner, said outside court that publicity over the case has "poisoned the well" ... Read More

Ohio State's Jim Tressel did not don his traditional sweater vest during his team's spring football game, choosing camouflage pants and a matching hat — to honor Ohio National Guard members and their families who were in attendance — to go with a scarlet windbreaker.
But there was no hiding, or blending into the surroundings, for the embattled Buckeyes coach.
The earliest Tressel will return to the sidelines at Ohio Stadium for a game will be on Oct. 29 against ... Read More

There is no denying Ohio State has a problem on its hands, and don’t think for a second this is close to being over. The NCAA Committee on Infractions is still going to get involved, and that could mean scholarships being stripped from Jim Tressel’s program.
Less scholarships mean you have to hit on landing the top recruits – and that hasn’t been a problem. Rivals.com has traditionally rated the Buckeyes’ recruiting classes in ... Read More

Michigan hasn't beaten Ohio State in football since 2003. But while the Buckeyes have had the upper hand in the rivalry of late, the Wolverines are now enjoying some fun at their rival's expense.
Ohio State coach Jim Tressel is embroiled in an NCAA investigation, and apparently a Michigan fan decided to celebrate with a billboard featuring a scarlet background and gray lettering -- the Buckeyes' colors.
It reads: "Liar, Liar, Vest on Fire!"
The billboard ... Read More

By: Darren Everson (WSJ.com) -- Vacating games sounds like such an empty penalty. In Ohio State's case, though, it actually would have some statistical meaning.
If the NCAA orders Ohio State to vacate victories from the 2010 season because of the Jim Tressel scandal—a strong possibility—it not only would cost the Buckeyes their share of the Big Ten title, it also would alter college football's all-time standings quite a bit. Currently third in winning percentage, Ohio State would drop ... Read More

By Adam Rittenberg (ESPN.com) -- Arguably no college football team in America enters the season with a hazier forecast than the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It's usually easy to predict how the Buckeyes will fare when the games begin. They have dominated the Big Ten for the better part of the past decade. But the looming NCAA situation involving coach Jim Tressel, combined with the need to replace quarterback Terrelle Pryor and four others for the first five games, makes Ohio ... Read More

The Ohio State Buckeyes have suspended another football player, this time for the entire 2011 season. The Buckeyes confirmed on Monday they suspended linebacker Dorian Bell for a violation of team rules.
Bell was expected to start for Ohio State after the team lost Ross Homan and Brian Rolle, who started on last year's team.
The redshirt sophomore had nine tackles in eight games for the Buckeyes in 2010.
Bell is the seventh player to receive a suspension for ... Read More
