COLUMBUS — Terrelle Pryor underwent surgery on his right foot on Friday to stabilize ligaments while Chimdi Chekwa had surgery on Wednesday on his wrist.

Both surgeries went well according to posts on Pryor and Chekwa’s twitter accounts.

Pryor was injured in the fourth quarter of the Buckeyes’ 31-26 Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas on Tuesday during a quarterback sneak for a first down. He left the game, had tape added to his foot, then returned with a limp.

No timetable has been given for Pryor’s recovery, but he should have plenty of time to recover. Pryor is suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season along with four teammates, but was allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl with the pledge of returning next season.

Senior corner Chimdi Chekwa underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair his broken wrist suffered early in the Sugar Bowl.

“Everything went fine,” the OSU spokesperson said of Chekwa’s surgery.

It is unknown how quickly Chekwa will be able to recover from that injury and begin training for the NFL combine.
