From: WaitingForNextYear.com - Tuesday night’s Sugar Bowl was a big night for Ohio State Quarterback Terrelle Pryor. He has been a lightning rod of controversy over the last month. Between his often-rogue tweets to Tattoo gate to the selling of personal football merchandise to calling out Kirk Herbstreit for never beating Michigan, Pryor has been unable to stay out of the spotlight without even playing a game.

The best thing possible for thing for the Buckeyes and their QB was to get back on the field and tune all the off the field distractions out. That is exactly what happened. Pryor was terrific, Ohio State won, and all was well with Buckeye Nation again. Pryor was interviewed after the game on the field, and with his arms around two teammates, he showed humility and publicly apologized to his teammates, the Buckeye fans, and to anyone he hurt. He claims he will be back for his Senior season despite the five game suspension. And the season drew to a close.

The Ohio State Sugar Bowl win was completely lost in all of the Michigan coaching debacle talk over the last two days. However, the Pryor apology got some national play. Buckeye hoopster and budding lottery pick Jared Sullinger had the back of his buddy on Twitter Wednesday, saying It takes a real man to go on national TV and tell the whole #BUCKEYENATION he is sorry, @TPeezy2 Thats whats good bro. #Shoutout to u.

Not everyone was buying Pryor’s sincerity. On yesterday’s Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN Radio, both Scott and co-host Ryen Rusillo, big college football guys, took shots at Pryor. Van Pelt, for one, made several biting comments about not buying Pryor’s apology one bit. He has been very critical of the Buckeye QB……
