The news of James Jackson not being on the 2011 Ohio State football roster came to light earlier this month, but his former high school coach has confirmed that Jackson will be leaving OSU altogether.

It is currently unclear as to the reason for leaving the university, however Jackson was never really able to get consistent time on the playing field. The receiver did see some playing time in last season’s 73-20 slaughter of Eastern Michigan.

Jackson’s former coach Matt Bird confirmed to WILX.com on Saturday about Jackson leaving Ohio State and will enroll at Division 2 Grand Valley in June with 3 years of eligibility remaining.
