BUCKEYES BUZZ: QB Terrelle Pryor lashed out at assistant coach Nick Siciliano on at least one occasion during the game at Iowa, and seemed to be upset at his head coach and his teammates at other times.
No big deal, coach Jim Tressel said. Happens all the times, just like in a typical family.
“If we had cameras in the meeting rooms, it would be a reality show,” Tressel joked. “I told those guys I spend half my energy calming those two down. It’s that competitive between quarterback and that quarterback coach.”
Tressel said neither Pryor nor Siciliano ever crossed a line.
“A lot of times when those two are yelling at each other, I’m not sure, but that’s the love/hate,” he said. “There’s got to be a good guy and a bad guy. I’m usually the good guy and Sic is the bad guy. That’s the way I designed it.”
He added, “He (Siciliano) knew that when I hired him. And I told that to Terrelle when I hired Sic. I said, ‘Hey, this guy is going to be on your fanny constantly.’ So get ready for it. So it’s fine for three days and then they have a little tussle and then they’re fine in 15 minutes.”
